We have arrived home today after a relaxing holiday down south via Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, overnight in Pemberton, through Walpole & Denmark to reach our final destination of Albany. Lack of internet access limited our ability to post – but we will do a photo a day now to catch up.
Above is a photo from day one – arriving in Pemberton for a beautiful walk through the forrest.

This is the balcony that the room opened onto – the parrot flew in as soon as we returned from the walk, so I fed him a few crumbs. When we returned to the room later after dinner he had left these flowers on the balcony for us – a thank you perhaps?

Lots of beauty to be found in the southwest. A little more difficult in Perth!
best wishes Ribbon
Hi, nice posts there
thank’s for the interesting information
I want to find good pop music. Help me please.
Very informative post. Thank you.
Hmm, the flowers are interesting. Once I found a quaker parakeet (really a parrot despite the name). Well, once I saw him heading for my glass of water eagerly, so I let him have a big drink of water. He said “Thank you, thank you, thank you” with enthusiasm. It sounded as if he knew what he was saying. So maybe the flowers really were a thank you and an act of friendship.
Okay, we’re going on a school trip to Costa Rica in July. It’s supposed to be really humid and in the 70′s and 80′s when we go. I HATE it hot or warm. I love the cold. The thing is, is that in San Jose, CR, there will be a ton of mosquitos. Our prof suggest that we wear long pants and clothes. But its’ going to be sooo hot and I’ll get really hot and stick which is really annoying.
It’s the old “curse of knowledge” dilemma isn’t it? It’s easy to assume visitors know how to comment or even that commenting is encouraged. Excellent post.
Excellent photos. Great scenery and good job capturing the colorful parrot.
